ALLSCAPE announces its landscape lighting products now meet European CE Mark Standards

ALLSCAPE, the manufacturer of architectural landscape and outdoor lighting products, a Philips Group brand, has announced that all company in-ground products now meet European Commission standards for carrying the official CE mark. Ian R. Ibbitson, general manager of the company, made the announcement.

CE is understood to be an abbreviation for Conformité Européenne, “European Conformity,” within the nations of the EEA (European Economic Area).

By affixing the CE marking, all of the ALLSCAPE in-ground products meet the requirements and directives by the EEA.

The CE mark is issued and controlled by the manufacturer, who is responsible for ensuring that any product carrying the mark conforms to harmonized standards adopted by the European Committee for Standardization and the European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization. The standards detail the required conditions that must be met to conform to European Directives which are legally binding legislative acts of the European Union. Directives include several that apply to commercial lighting products such as 2006/95/EC - Low Voltage Equipment and 2004/108/EC - Electromagnetic Compatibility.
