The CE mark is issued and controlled by the manufacturer, who is responsible for ensuring that any product carrying the mark conforms to harmonized standards adopted by the European Committee for Standardization and the European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization. The standards detail the required conditions that must be met to conform to European Directives which are legally binding legislative acts of the European Union. Directives include several that apply to commercial lighting products such as 2006/95/EC - Low Voltage Equipment and 2004/108/EC - Electromagnetic Compatibility.
By affixing the CE marking, the manufacturer placing the product on the market or putting it into service asserts that the item meets essential requirements and directives in and by the EEA. All of the ALLSCAPE in-ground products are thoroughly tested and meet CE requirements.
