Step Light: SP-01-18CFQ

Low level path lighting

“How can I adequately light a walkway using recessed step lights? The levels only need be enough so people can see where they are going.”

Designers usually use step lights for accent and low level pedestrian lighting which would require 1 fc or so. Usually, the location parameters for these applications are strictly defined by the wall or step height and length. The example shown above utilizes our SP-01-18CFQ (sp01.ies) fixture. They are mounted at 1.5’ with a 5’ spacing. This setup gives a nice overall spread for the given mounting height.

Space your fixtures to achieve your desired effect, but be cautious when dealing with low mounting heights to avoid dark spots.
