“We have a pathway on our campus that runs between buildings. We would like to provide enough light for safety and define the pathway to accentuate the landscaping, but would like to stay away from pole mounted fixtures. Do you have any ideas?”

Bollards are the top choice for this type of application. They blend in well with landscaping features, are relatively unobtrusive and define a specific line of trespass. When placing these fixtures, begin by determining what light level you require and simply space accordingly. Above is an example with our LL-04-70HPS-CLR 42 inches tall, interleaved on 20ft spacing, that would provide 1 fc minimum along a path approximately 10’ wide.
