“I have a building façade that is 30’ long and 20’ high. I would like to wash it with an even spread and minimal scalloping. What is the most effective fixture and placement?”

When facing this application, the first question is always: “Are there any limitations on fixture location?” Assuming there are not, the best fixture would be our SL-43-175MH-WW (sl43ewwl.ies). The optimum setback is 3’ which allows the light to hit low on the surface and increases the coverage. For this application, space the units at 10’ for an even distribution. You can space the fixtures up to 12’, but any further will create scalloping. This is also the same setup for sign lighting.
